My blaster

This is my replica Blast-Tech DL-44 that I got from a dealer on the Internet. I don't want to get him in trouble with the Empire (i.e. Lucasfilm attorneys) so I'll just say that if you go here: http://pub23.ezboard.com/bpropreplicas and look in the links section to the left you can find him. This thing rocks. I just watched The Empire Strikes Back and not only is my replica exactly like the one Han Solo used, mine actually looks better because of the new machined aluminum flash suppressor. The one on Solo's looks pretty beat up. As you can hopefully see in the pics, the slide moves and the hammer can be cocked. I made a leather holster for it tonight and I think it turned out ok. It looks better in person than it does here. Especially when you're wearing it and you can feel the weight on your hip.

You can't tell from these photos, but the aluminum part of the barrel is actually rifled. What difference that makes on an energy weapon is anyone's guess, but I still appreciate the attention to detail. Especially considering that the ones used in A New Hope were crummy stamped metal pieces off of fire extinguishers.
