My name's John Myers.  I live in Knoxville, TN and I've been a Star Wars fan since before I could talk.  I've always wanted my own lightsaber but didn't think I'd be able to make one myself that looked any good.  Then one day I happened across a website that showed how to make some pretty good looking sabers out of parts from Lowe's and Radio Shack.  I had a lot of fun making them so I figured I'd put 'em up on the Net.  Hopefully they'll encourage the average Star Wars fan (limited budget, no access to fancy metal-working machinery) to make their own, too.  It's really not that hard or expensive, and if you knew me you'd also know that it doesn't require a whole lot of talent, either.  I don't know the guy who put it up, but there's a site called Lightsabers From the Big Yellow Box; and that's where I got the designs for the first 2 sabers I made.  If I hadn't come across that site, I doubt I'd have made 1 lightsaber, let alone 7.  Here's the URL: http://mywebpages.comcast.net/yellowbox/bigyellowbox/index.htm
Hope you like 'em.
